     This was our 19th (Hawaii) Pelagic Pursuit Kayak Fishing Tournament, that we've hosted.
    This meet we had 26 anglers entered, competing for thousands in prizes.


In the Inshore species:

1st was Adam Hodgsen who landed a 25.42 lb Ulua which won him a Hobie Fisherman Pfd and Hobie (fiberglass shaft) paddle.

2nd place was Victor Haanio with his 17.46lb Kahala(which won him a pair of Hobie Escondido Sunglasses and a Hobie (Fiberglass Shaft) Paddle

3rd place was Sam Britton with a 15.14 lb Kahala.(which won him a Hobie (Fiberglass Shaft) Paddle and Hobie hat

4th place was Sean Jensen with a 14.06 Ulua

5th place was Lopaka Ventura with a 13.36 lb Uku

6th place was Devin Hallingstad with a 11.6 lb Uku
7th place was Joaeph Christopher with a 8.62  lb Uku
8th place was Shawn Zenor with a 7.22 lb Kamanu
9th place was Grant Decker with a 3.1 lb Uku

Results In the offshore Category:

1st was Devin Hallingstad who brought in the tournaments biggest catch, a 62.14 lb Ono 

2nd place was Roberto Ventura Jr with his 40.24 lb Ahi which won him a Hobie Fisherman Pfd, a Hobie Hat and Hobie Tee shirt.

3rd place was Lopaka Ventura with a 33.48 lb Ahi (winning him a pair of Hobie Escondido Sunglasses, a Hobie Hat and Hobie Tee Shirt

4th place was Sean Jensen with a 29.82 lb Ono

5th place was Shawn Zenor with a 24.92 lb Mahi

6th place was Kalae Douglas with a 22.2 lb Mahi

7th place was Adam Hodgson with a 16.4 lb Mahi

8th place was Paul Ishikuro with a 12.06 lb Mahi

 7th place was Romel Palafox with a 4.98 lb Mahi

    Lance Bowman  won the "closest to 10 lb, "Inshore" competition with his 8.92 lb Kaku winning him one of the Hobie Quest 11 Angler Kayaks


     Devin continues to amaze. Not a world Record on this occasion but he seems to be the one setting the bar and everyone else is trying to meet his mark or just visualize how high that bar is from our personal perspctive.

   For the amount of anglers entered (26), the catches coming in were awesome.
